glenerrolrd Posted November 9, 2007 Share #3 Posted November 9, 2007 6 weeks to 6 months...depending 1. are you a pro ..if so you may go to the top of the que(sometimes). 2. your lens is easy to work on.....Noctiluxes, 50/75 Summiluxes frequently have mount problems requiring the lens to be shipped to Solms. If your lens has to go to Solms you sit in two ques..first in NJ and then again in Solms. This is my experience based on sending in 9 lenses starting in November of last year. What I have learned..if the lens is in good shape(no focus problems, doesn t need a CLA or any adjustments to the focusing mount) and is not a 50Noctilux or a 50/75 Summilux....you should get 6-8 weeks turnaround(thats total time ship to return). Otherwise it will be quite a bit longer. Like they say your experience may vary.
MJones Posted November 10, 2007 Share #4 Posted November 10, 2007 In mid October (this year :-) I sent a 35/1,4 and 90/2,0 for coding and I didn't even have the voucher yet. I sent a copy of the receipt of the new 50/1,4 I purchased and explained I wanted to have the 6-bit coding even though my coupon voucher had not been returned to me yet. They told me should be completed by mid-December '07. I received both lenses back a few days ago - took less than 3 weeks. I was very pleased with turn-around and overall service. jobe Posted November 10, 2007 Share #5 Posted November 10, 2007 In Sept., I dropped my 75AA off for coding with Mr. Robert Fisk at Allendale. The lens was returned to me within 2 weeks. Hope your experience is as good. Joe
Bill W Posted November 10, 2007 Share #6 Posted November 10, 2007 I sent in my 35 lux for coding at my expense. It took six weeks or more. I had to call and call just to get an update because they would not reply to email or voice mail. In the end I was pleased, they never cashed my check.........I do not know it this was on purpose or by accident.
