DAVIDMC100 Posted May 14, 2023 Share #1 Â Posted May 14, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) Has anyone done an analysis of the Summicron-SL versus Summicron -M ? I am using a Summicron-M on my CL but to get auto focus , etc. I am toying with getting a SL lens.
Advertisement Posted May 14, 2023 Posted May 14, 2023 Hi DAVIDMC100, Take a look here Comparison of Summicron-SL and Summicron -M. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
lct Posted May 15, 2023 Share #2  Posted May 15, 2023 Not sure what focal length you are interested in but SL lenses are much bigger than M ones generally. Here Summicron-SL vs Summicron-M in 35mm on digital CL. If you are interested in AF i would ask about TL lenses instead. Welcome, dear visitor! DAVIDMC100 Posted May 19, 2023 Author Share #5 Â Posted May 19, 2023 yes, and I do have a TL 23. I just was looking for a 35 so it would be close to 50mm equivalent . I can just keep using my 35mm Summicron-M, it just doesn't have auto focus but that's ok !

For AF, there is an excellent Summilux-TL 35/1.4 asph too.
KJA Posted May 19, 2023 Share #7 Â Posted May 19, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) SUMMILUX-TL 35mm f1.4 ASPH Â Hi. Have been using this on my CL and SL2 with great results. Super sharp lens. 35mm on CL but becomes 50mm on the SL2. Feels great and has a solid metal lens hood. Â
