I shot music and theater performances for 30 years and one of the first lessons I learned was to not trust my light meter when shooting subjects that were lit by stage lights against a dark background. The meter will try to make the scene middle gray and the result is an overexposed subject (look at her nose). One needs to either spot meter or read the whole scene and then reduce exposure 2 to 3 stops.** 2 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
