with MOOEV Aviation motor drive fetched €900,000!

Yes, some result. Looking at the price of other Reporters sold it seems to be all about the MOOEV Aviation - guess not many 'Aviations' around..

Tempted to sell?

Unfortunately, I don't have the MOOEV. Malcolm Taylor who is currently repairing my 250FF, said he had serviced a couple of MOOEV motor drives during the 1960's when he was servicing a lot of 250 Reporter cameras for the UK seaside walking photographer businesses. Also mine is an FF whereas the MOOEV was to fit the GG. Most MOOEV drives disappeared during the war when they were fitted in JU87 Stuka dive bombers as aim checking cameras. Often a motor drive Berning Robot camera was fitted in the tail to check on damage caused.

Still the FF for sale fetched €9000 which is near double what I have mine declared at on my insurance schedule. The nickel collapsible Summars did not fetch the estimates, which does not surprise me but a Summarex first edition identical to mine, where I also have all the accessories and original leather case, fetched €6000, which is around 5 times what I have mine valued at. I am going to have to sit down with the auction values and set up a new insurance schedule for my collection. Most I have insured as part of house contents with only a few regular users as all risks.

I need to do the same thing; some things have gone down and some things have gone up.  The collectible equipment is on a collectibles policy similar to what is used for art, watches, figurines and other antiques.  My user equipment is on a photo equipment policy similar to what a professional photographer would have.
