grahamc Posted April 28, 2023 Share #1 Posted April 28, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello ! Does anyone know of any diffuser attachments that can be used for a 24-D ? I'm also wondering if there are 3rd party products with a kind of rubber attachment base ... i.e. will stretch to slip on many brands/shapes of flash, perhaps. If anyone has good leads it would be appreciated Cheers G
Advertisement Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 Hi grahamc, Take a look here Dome (or other diffuser attachment) for SF-24D ?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
madNbad Posted April 28, 2023 Share #2 Posted April 28, 2023 (edited) At one time Leica Goodies made the SFill. It was a translucent piece of plastic that bowed around the front of the flash and was held in place by a combination of elastic straps and Velcro. It worked well, diffused the light and included a gel to balance the light for color film. I owned one and it was sold with a lot of other gear. Repots have it long out of production but I did find this thread: For a small flash that offers a lot of features, check out the Mieke MK320. It has tilt and swivel plus a bunch of Auto and Manual settings. It also has a built in diffuser and cost about sixty USD. No TTL for Leica but it’s worth a look. wattsy Posted April 28, 2023 Share #3 Posted April 28, 2023 There are loads of "speedlight" modifiers available nowadays – a quick search of Amazon and/or major online photographic retailers will show endless varieties. I know the SF-24D is smaller than the average speedlight but most of these third-party softbox diffusers are held on with velcro and can probably still be fitted to the smaller Leica flash. Worst case scenario would be the liberal application of gaffer tape to hold it on. https://www.manfrotto.com/uk-en/ezybox-micro-ll-ls2211/ https://www.wexphotovideo.com/westcott-pocket-box-mini-speedlight-softbox-15-x-17cm-3069830/ 1

charlesphoto99 Posted April 28, 2023 Share #7 Posted April 28, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) What I always did was use the wide attachment and sandwich a small piece of diffusion material inside it. I have the Leica goodies magnifier, but it always felt awkward - if i wanted a bigger flash i’d use one.
rich_ Posted April 30, 2023 Share #8 Posted April 30, 2023 (edited) I had a velcro attached light soft box when I used that flash on the sf24 about ten years back. It worked well for me and hopefully lots more options available now. I forgot the brand unfortunately..🤔 Welcome, dear visitor!
