Yeah, if you just want a quality used 35mm camera, your options are endless.  One camera I absolutely love using is the Nikon N80/F80.  Fantastic design/handling/features.  I bought two last year for about $20 each.  Including shipping!  Not a mis-print, $20.  My M6 retails for $5500-ish.  Used M6 now is about $2500.  So more than 100 times the price of the N80!  The N80 is an incredible tool and there are dozens of superb lenses (cheap) that can be used with it.

But I still use Leica Ms, because I love using them.  The point is, excellent used 35mm cameras can be had for super cheap.   Leicas cannot...  And Leica is the only one making new high quality 35mm film cameras.  So they do own 100% of the new quality market.

F80/N80 must be one of the best bargains in film cameras. Mine was a bit more than that, I think about £50 a few years ago, but you get almost a mini F100 in a lighter and quieter body with nearly the same lens compatibility (except for metering with AI lenses) and respectable AF (the F100 scores there).

I like the N80 so much I haven't used my F6 in a long while now.  It really is a ridiculous bargain.
