Thank you for sharing all these portraits. You definitely have a signature style to your portrait work.  Very old and stark.  It really leaves the subject wholly exposed.  In some of these images, the effect is truly exceptional.  Not because the images are better or worse (to my eye, they are all consistently great technically), but because some of the models/ subjects have a stronger presence or a more confident and relaxed presence. It's also the use of the lens.  If I were to shoot this style, I'd probably want an APO or a smaller aperture or longer FL (Like Platon, etc), but your choice of the lux somehow turns the image on its axis, making it a little more unexpected.  Anyway, having a signature or a personal style is invaluable these days when we see so many images. Well done.

Thank you for that beutifull photo! So many beutifull images in this thread. This entire thread is pure GOLD as far as I am concerned!

I had a chance to test the Summilux 50 SL as I am planning on getting the SL3S in January and was curious. My take is that it is a sublime lens as far as picture quality is concerned but it is very large and in traditional SLR big mirror less fashion. I felt it was designed for professionals who demanded the absolute highest quality and uncompromising rendering capabilities. I respect every professional who chooses this lens.

I am not a professional and for my usage I am focusing on the much smaller M and X2D lenses. That said, I simply would never use it so I have decided I would not get any SL lenses but will get the SL3S to use the advanced focus capabilities with Noctilux and longer focal length lenses. That said, I was left with a hankering to see images made with this fantastic lens, this image with the champagne bucket and that beutifull out of focus area is exactly what rocks my boat! More please!
