This one has film-like grain

Yes, and moreover I don’t know what dsetiono01 has done if anything re post processing, but the images look really good in terms of a tonal rendering that maps well to what I’m used to from film. There is a lot of digital B&W out there where the tonality doesn’t look “right”, but the tonality of these ones are bang on (IMHO)! Very nice indeed.

The most minimal kind of post processing. Just some Exposure/ Highlight/ Contrast adjusment, using default Adobe Monochrome Profile!

I did not upgrade to the M11M, and probably won’t as I love my M10M and am waiting for the M11P to get a new color body, but I had the opportunity to play with the M11M at the Paris Leica Store on Friday.

First one as shot with exposure -0.30. Second one with some dodging and burning and some AI for object removal. APO 50 Summicron @f/4, ISO 125, 1/1500 sec.

Less compressed JPEGs here: https://www.smugmug.com/gallery/n-nrdw8D/

No need to buy it. At some point we will be able to tell an AI what camera we want to shoot with what lens at what aperture and it will generate an image with that look for us.

Thanks John. I did the same.

Capture One replied with the below. I haven’t tried yet M11M DNG files on Capture One, will do later today, but the important part of their reply is I guess the last sentence!

Reverting the thread back to pictures.

  • While we are actively working on full support for the M11 Monochrome, i'd like to add that given the camera shoots DNG's out of the box, they are read just fine with our Native DNG support.
  • Expect full support very soon.

Well, this is the M11 Monochrom image thread, and you wrote in the M10 Monochrom thread that the pic was taken with the M11 (no mention of Monochrom).  That about covers it. 🤪
