Hello all, I received this camera from an old family friend. I wasn’t given any additional information on it and was hoping to learn more about it. Thanks for any help!

 First a Leica I model A from 1930 with fixed lens, later modified to Leica II with coupled rangefinder and interchangeable lens, the shown Elmar bears a serial number not common for Leica with fixed lens.

I have a similar Leica I converted to Leica II, and I'd guess they were converted in about 1932 when the II became available, as the model III came out a year later, which had a better RF as well as slow speeds, so I'd expect most conversions would have been to model III when it was available.
