I noticed that when turning shutter speed dial from 1/60 to 1/50(flash) position there is a "semi-fixed" position in the middle between 1/60 and 1/50. But no this semi-position when turning in the opposite direction.

Is this normal?

UPD: maybe not 1/60, but from 1/30 to 1/50 I doubt, will recheck later. Somewhere around flash position.

I also found this problem. This problem has made me very annoyed recently. It is that the position of a bar in the middle of 1/50-1/60 is not fixed. There will be a slight stutter at 1/8-1/15, but I can understand that it is the spring that needs to be used when switching to 1/8. Have you checked your machine? If it's 1/50-1/60, it should be fine, after all, we all have this situation.

Hello Everybody,

There are 3 sets of sounds on a mechanical "M" shutter.

There is the  "buzzing" slow speed gear train from 1 second thru & including 1/8th of a second. With different "buzzes" at each setting.

There are 1/15th & 1/30th which have similar to each other, but slightly different, "bouncing" sounds.

And there is 1/50th (The "lightning bolt" or the "dot" between 1/30th & 1/60th.) thru 1/1000 inclusive. Which is a number of slightly different, quiet "clicks".

By the way, 1/50th is the 1/2 stop setting between 1/30th & 1/60th. It is also the fastest shutter speed, where the shutter opens all of the way before the flash fires, for traditional electronic flash.

Best Regards,

Michael
