andym91 Posted March 26, 2023 Share #1 Posted March 26, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi everyone i rarely ask for advice here but before I take the plunge I thought I’d look to you guys. ive been successfully printing Color and BW for years on an Epson A3 R2400, mainly BW but occasionally Color. All good until basically it’s died. looking to purchase a new printer with the focus on BW. use mostly Hahnemühle fine art paper. thoughts and recommendations greatly appreciated best andy

tom24 Posted March 26, 2023 Share #2 Posted March 26, 2023 Epson SC-P900. The best compromise between price and quality. And great print quality - especially black and white. I recommend watching reviews from Keith Cooper. I have an Epson P800 (predecessor to the P900) and very happy with it. Especially with black and white prints.
Chris W Posted March 28, 2023 Share #3 Posted March 28, 2023 I agree with the above. I have one of the older Epson and it handles B&W on Hahnemule just fine.
Lelmer Posted March 30, 2023 Share #4 Posted March 30, 2023 I am very satisfied with the Epson SC-P900 I bought a year ago. About 50/50 BW & color on Hahnemule and Canson Infinity papers. Not a single problem so far.
