Thank you for your enquiry Mr Falstaff. Coffee will be fine, but lunch is difficult, ..... you'll understand, we're phasing out film-only users. They're not viable in the long term I'm afraid. It's called progress.

Are you automatic, or manual?

Top table is for two M8's, then one M8, but two batteries...... Bar stools for the Panasonic twins. Perhaps a corner table can be made available for you M7 users.

I have not been watching the forum and so I am very late with my response here. I'd be interested in meeting up on the 16th. Am I too late to join the M7 users on the corner table?

Hi Chris, send Rolo a PM - he was booking a table at the pub where we're eating.

Thanks Steve.

I'm using the Poll at the top of this thread as a guide to how many definites we have and at the moment it's just 10, plus the CakeMakers makes12. That's in line with the booking I've made and will firm up as we get nearer.

If you're coming and haven't voted, can you please do so. A side benefit is that you'll also be entitled to a mouthful of Punch from the International Moderator in my left corner ..... Andeeey Baaarton. :D

Or more likely, vice versa :)

By the way, I've invited David Stephens to join us and he seemed thrilled and agreed to turn up.

In the spirit of Chritmas, it would be good to bring your credit cards along and allow David to exhaust his M8 stock before the 25th. :)

Is Ivan the Clock still not joining us?

Excellent news. At the last Leica event we organised in Berlin we were all given a little something from Leica. Perhaps David could do the same - I'd settle for a 28mm Summicron or a 50mm ASPH Summilux <grin>.

If you're reading this David, that a joke. Please come along, it'd be great to see you.

Pre-paid return labels to send duff cameras back to Solms?

Good to see the spirit of Christmas coming through, Mr Scrooge. :D

I think I might bring my "real" Leica along.

Might make me a real Leica shooter.

Andy, that's a bit risky.

After the Chester meet I was still re-winding my film back into the casette ready to take it for processing when Stunsworth and Pete-on-Wheels dumped their flash cards on the Forum.

Not only did they beat the availability of my images by three weeks, they shot everything I shot from the four points of the compass, .... and above and below! Took the steam right out of my sails it did. But retribution is sweet when cold.

I'm thinking of bringing my C....n, Mk... This son of a bitch can download 500 gig in the time it takes Falstaff to focus. If I can prise Steve's grip off his 50mm SummiCanon f1.4, I'll deafen y'all with the sound of a high speed shutter. (well maybe not because the 300,000 shutter activations life expectancy is only 10 hours at full bore). Like Elan's Pana, it would actually be a Leica with a Solms sourced lens.

Steeeeeeve ..... ??
