gwelland Posted November 3, 2007 Share #21 Posted November 3, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Graham, The lens is a bit dirty, but at least it gets used. With the old 35 lux, keeping the front element clean is a nightmare. The 12504 hood leaves a gap if you have filter. Anyway, I can't find one at any reasonable money. I just shoot it bare. As for the camera, it's funny isn't it. I only did it spontaneously, thinking an autograph on the top plate would be a bit different to putting it in a book. Now it's just getting in the way of me using it. I'll just have to revert to the M2. Charlie Charlie - just kidding about the lens. As you said, it's being used and that's what's important! I hate seeing Leicas being treated like fashion accessories instead of being used & abused. I confess that imants note about the oil made me smile too. tomasis7 Posted November 3, 2007 Share #22 Posted November 3, 2007 I feel pity for the poor M6. You need water and sponge...........................to wash off the silly stain I guess that it need alcohol or so then you can use the camera again as usual.
