Michael-IIIf Posted November 2, 2007 Share #4 Posted November 2, 2007 Fahim, A vote for Metro Imaging here. Maybe not the cheapest but they are a pro-lab and you get what you pay for: speed and professionalism. cheers Michael
earleygallery Posted November 2, 2007 Share #5 Posted November 2, 2007 If you only need low res scans (for web use etc) then I can also recommend Snappy Snaps chain of 1 hour labs - there's loads of them around London and I've always been pleased with the service. They will develop and scan only (no prints). They also do traditional B&W but that is an overnight service.
fursan Posted November 2, 2007 Author Share #6 Posted November 2, 2007 Michael, thanks. I will try them out. New to film, so need all the help! Fahim, A vote for Metro Imaging here. rob_x2004 Posted November 2, 2007 Share #9 Posted November 2, 2007 You mean will the mp go back into the drawer when it turns out not to be easy?
plasticman Posted November 2, 2007 Share #10 Posted November 2, 2007 Come on guys - give the guy a break. Anyways - my vote for Metro too - far and away the best for development I've ever used. No idea if they still offer their 24 hour 365 day service, but one of the things I loved doing when I lived in Primrose Hill was driving over to their City branch at maybe 3am to pick up my latest images - but that was in my single days... long gone. fursan Posted November 2, 2007 Author Share #11 Posted November 2, 2007 Depends. Things in garage as junk might be hilarious!! ..............is this gonna be funny?
fursan Posted November 2, 2007 Author Share #12 Posted November 2, 2007 Maybe. Not the first thing I have treated this way! Have better things to do than to p*ss around with an MP if it does not suit me. I respect that you might have a different point of view. No issue. Best regards. bartok Posted November 2, 2007 Share #15 Posted November 2, 2007 Mani, How strange, I live near primrose Hill and used to do exactly the same thing! Sadly, Metro at Holborn pulled back their service last year and started closing at 11 at night - not enough demand. They have now moved from Clerkenwell Road to Great Sutton Street, which is just behind the former building. I still use them for all my Colour processing and some B&W. As others have said, their quality is superb.
Guest stnami Posted November 3, 2007 Share #16 Posted November 3, 2007 Maybe. Not the first thing I have treated this way!,,,you may as well piss it off now because you are going to have to go out of your usual comfort zone to get good results........ ndjambrose Posted November 5, 2007 Share #18 Posted November 5, 2007 Another vote for Metro. I take all my E6 stuff there and they're 100% effective - totally reliable and totally professional.
wattsy Posted November 5, 2007 Share #19 Posted November 5, 2007 Metro are fast becoming the only game in town. It'll be a sorry day when the only way to get processing done is via mail order.
