rtphotos Posted November 1, 2007 Share #21 Posted November 1, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) It depends in part on what size filters you request, but some of the more popular sizes (like the 39mm) are being sent out quite quickly as of late. I got mine in about two weeks after registering. Check out this recent post in the M8 forum for more details: http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/leica-m8-forum/34374-whats-wait-freebie-filters.html good luck! rt Darn, wish I could edit my posts. I wanted to say that my two 39mm filters arrived in 2-3 weeks after registering in mid-August 2007. I live in the USA. Respondents, I suggest that we provide the filter sizes requested, the date registered, and how long it took you to get them. I think we will find that most filters are being shipped more quickly now. all the best, rt

Artorius Posted November 2, 2007 Share #23 Posted November 2, 2007 From registration online to in house, was 10 days, or 8 working days from Leica NJ via FedEx. Both 39 & 46mm chrome arrived on the same day. Now if my battery/card holder from the D lux-3 would just show up.(3 mo. and still waiting)
Hacker Posted November 2, 2007 Share #24 Posted November 2, 2007 Just over 2 months, both arriving on two consecutive days! After 4 weeks, I emailed Solms and decided to change 2 x E55 to 1 x E49 and 1 x E55 as the E55s were readily available. They said OK and 4 weeks later (2 months in total), both arrived 1 day apart. Guest tummydoc Posted November 5, 2007 Share #26 Posted November 5, 2007 I think we will find that most filters are being shipped more quickly now. I and several others I'm acqainted with are still waiting for our E43 filters (stupidly available only in silver) for our LHSA Summilux-ASPHs (or pre-ASPHs as the case may be). Going on six months for myself. They've been available on-line at B&H and Popflash for some time. Evidently Leica fill orders to stockists first whilst those awaiting free filters are left to whistle out their bums.

tim power Posted November 12, 2007 Share #30 Posted November 12, 2007 they came, a 46 for my zm 28 and a 43 for my old 50 lux, within a few weeks of requesting them. they have a lovely greeny/pink bloom on them, don't they? and as far as i can tell don't seem to lose me even a quarter stop. does anyone know otherwise? frankly i cant fault leica, nor want to, cos they make fine cameras. still. http://www.flickr.com/photos/gonzopix/
Shootist Posted November 12, 2007 Share #31 Posted November 12, 2007 I think I lose about a 1/2 stop but I also think that is due to cutting out the IR not that the filter is actually limiting the visible light to the sensor and meter.
etrigan63 Posted November 13, 2007 Share #32 Posted November 13, 2007 I got my 46mm from the local dealer as there was a problem with the demo unit I bought. Someone clever copied the serial number from the hot shoe and ordered filters. The dealer called Leica NJ and straightened it all out but I am still waiting for a 43mm. Ended up getting B+W filters from the Classified Section at RFF.
thompsonkirk Posted November 13, 2007 Share #33 Posted November 13, 2007 17 days for 39 & 46. Came from Wetzlar to USA via FedEx. I'm sorry for you folks who had to wait so long. A little like buying a BMW & not being able to drive it on the freeway. Odd that they don't just give a bunch of 'em to the dealers, to keep people reasonably happy.
