Have you seen the informative “youtube by F/Stops” that explains how 1/64 and 1/32 strengths can be flexibly changed on the fly whilst utilizing ISO1600 and f4 with the EF-X20 on  a Leica Digital M.

It was titled :

This is some serious “on-camera” flash! What a gem!

I personally find the Leica SF26 to be outstanding, and the TTL pre-flash is almost invisible to the subjects

The flash in nice and small is night situations.

It was underpowered in outdoor sunny situation, and the batteries are small.

The one i was using on the Q2 was a little snuggle fit, it was pushing down on the top plate.

At the end i found TTL more useful in fluid situation going in and out , indoor and outdoor like an event.

So the TTL worked flawless on the m11? Was thinking about the sf40 but that one is just so much bigger in size

I tried the im30.  it was a bit uncomfortable as the hotshoe is at the rear of the m11 and the flash doesn't taper forwards, so as a left eye user it kind of was always pressing my forehead/eyebrow.  its a decent flash for the money though, manual mode is fine.  it really benefits from some serious diffusion as its pretty harsh even on lower power - some trace taped over worked well.

my m11 went weird after using it each time though. wouldn't turn on properly.  finally it would come to life after 5 mins or so.  I put it down to another Leica weirdness, #962 .... but maybe it was just my body.

incidentally, after using the flash the first time, the hotshoe cover was lose and barley stayed in.  Leica weirdness #963
