dpitt Posted February 16, 2023 Share #2 Posted February 16, 2023 Nice shot. You can see this is taken with a modern lens. I am wondering if you shot this at ISO 400 or ISO 200? Do you prefer Adox FX-39 for the HP5+?

Whilst I shot some films over the last years it is very limited, with most of my work being done on a M240, but I needed to get back to somewhere near where I started 60+ years ago. I shot film for around 45 years so I have a reasonable amount of experience but many things have changed so I decided to try a new developer and went for the Adox on the basis of the reputation of developers formulated by Geoffrey Crawley. The FX-39 II is a tweaked version of his FX-39 which I have used in the past a little. I am shooting Ilford HP5+ at 400iso as it has always been my practice to shoot at what it says on the box, and I was pleasantly surprised by the results. My previous few films were sent to a lab for processing, but I am doing it myself again. Watch this space I guess! Gerry 2
