andybarton Posted August 19, 2006 Share #1  Posted August 19, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) I can't seem to find the link anywhere.  I have downloaded the latest Adobe CameraRAW software, but I seem to recall that FlexColor is more intuitive, or offers more options.  Any ideas, seasoned DMR-ers?  Thanks  (I think I might need some hand-holding over the next few weeks - bear with me )
Advertisement Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 Hi andybarton, Take a look here Imacon FlexColor RAW converter? URL?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
robbegibson Posted August 19, 2006 Share #2  Posted August 19, 2006 One way is to go to the download part of the DMR page on Leica's website.  Or, you can go here: http://192.38.243.48/usr/Imacon/WPPImacon.nsf/htmlpages/Download.html  Good luck!  Robbe Gibson
andybarton Posted August 19, 2006 Author Share #3 Â Posted August 19, 2006 There's no FlexColor link on the DMR downloads page that I can see, and the link you have provided is for Hasselblad backs - I think. Â Thanks anyway.
robbegibson Posted August 19, 2006 Share #4 Â Posted August 19, 2006 Imacon is the provider for Flexcolor (and the DMR). Just download 4.6 and pick DMR as the profile. The linked page is where the Leica page directs you to, except the link I provided bypasses the registration page.
andybarton Posted August 19, 2006 Author Share #5  Posted August 19, 2006 Thanks Robbe.  Here's the problem... I appreciate your help.   Here's the link to the downloads page at leica-camera.com that I have found. No Imacon...  Leica Camera AG - Downloads  Welcome, dear visitor! pascal_meheut Posted August 19, 2006 Share #6 Â Posted August 19, 2006 It does not matter. Mine also has DMR grayed but it works fine.

robbegibson Posted August 19, 2006 Share #8 Â Posted August 19, 2006 Andy, I'm not in a position to try it right now, but I think if you connect the DMR to Flexcolor, it will not be greyed out. I can't find the Flexcolor download on the new Leica website. It was right there on the old site. Anyway, it took you to the Imacon site. If you go here: http://www.imacon.dk/sw214.asp you can register your DMR with Imacon and they will email update info. Â One thing Flexcolor provides is color and other corrections specific to each lens if you're using ROM lenses. Â Robbe Gibson
robert_parker Posted August 19, 2006 Share #9  Posted August 19, 2006 Andy  1) You must tell me how you post the annotated screenshots of menus, etc - I can never work it out !!  2) Although Flexcolour should be the RAW developer of choice, most of us seem to get better results (especially out of the box) with Capture 1 (either LE or PRO) - see Jordi's post above
andybarton Posted August 20, 2006 Author Share #10  Posted August 20, 2006 Robert  Are you using a Mac or a PC?  With a Mac, it's easy. Get the application set as you need (in the above case with the drop-down menu open), then use Shift/Apple/4. Your cursor will turn into a cross-hair and you can drag over the part of the screen that you want to copy. It is automatically sent to the desktop, for further editing as required.  Shift/Apple/3 takes a shot of the whole screen  There's a shortcut for just taking a picture of the foremost window, but I forget what this is just now.  IIRC, using the "PrintScreen" key on a PC takes a shot of the whole screen and stores it temporarily in the Clipboard that you then have to paste into an image editor. It doesn't actually create a file itself.
