Jodad Posted January 15, 2023 Share #1 Posted January 15, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) Is Leica Europe still offering trade-in deals on Leica ME 220 with sensor corrosion? If so, are M10 cameras generally still available (M11 way too expensive for me, and I imagine would still be even after a discount) and if so, what sort of trade in value would I get? I have looked online and all I see if varying info so I'm not sure.

dpitt Posted January 16, 2023 Share #2 Posted January 16, 2023 I do not think so. There seems to be a solution. Read this
Overgaard Posted January 16, 2023 Share #3 Posted January 16, 2023 (edited) Generally, when you ship a camera in for service and they inspect for corrosion as part of what they overall do, they will report back if it has corrosion, and they generally offer to give a discount on current models. So you can send it in for adjustment and see what happens. Corrosion shows at f/5.6, so if you never stop down, it's not really a problem. I have one M9 with new sensor and two with old. Never seen the corrosion other than when Customer Service mentions it. Edited January 16, 2023 by Overgaard
