There's been a group photograph, but these are some I took sat in the bar having some very enjoyable conversations. Please, please, please let's try and make the next venue somewhere where we can mingle more, personally I enjoy the social side of the day more than the competitive one <grin>

The forth one was hand held at 2 seconds, so please make allowances regarding sharpness.

Perhaps anyone else with similar photographs could post them to this thread.

All were M8, with a Nocti, 35mm Summicron, and a borrowed WATE.

A few more quickies from inside :

All taken with the L1/ 'lux 25/1.4 at ISO200 - the one of Carsten was at 1/15 and you will note that the elusive Mr Unsworth appears in two of them. :)

It's actually quite hard when there are so many people, unless we can find a venue where we can stand about and be waited on by nubiles with canapés etc. If you want to sit down and eat a pig's leg ( ;) ) with a beer, it's much more difficult to mingle.

The other problem is that by meeting at 12 noon, we have to make sure that we get off pretty promptly to retain some light, so that doesn't encourage dwelling in the bar.

Finally, it wasn't possible to arrange a supper like we did last year, and I think that made a difference.

So I blame this year's organiser, to be frank. :)

Maybe we should have organised a guest speaker and some exhibition space to enjoy too ...

Yes, whatever happened to those ideas??!! We could also each get up and speak for 5 mins about ourselves........

Part of the problem was having to leave the bar afterwards (although not everyone returned). A stand up drink/buffet is a good idea. Another one, maybe we could meet earlier in the morning and have lunch after the shoot, somewhere that we can linger on as long as we wish afterwards. That way we don't have the light constraints and it allows more time for socialising.

What is happening about choosing the next city?

Okay, here are some.

They were taken with a Canon G7, but please don't drum me out for that! :D
