  • jaapv changed the title to Early morning on the Shire River - Completely reworked

Critique on NPN inspired me to rework it completely. What do you think?

Well I like the first one. Has the dreamy quality of a late romantic landscape. If you look at the right hand side it is difficult to tell whether it is a painting or a photograph.

The reworked version is probably a better photograph but a less remarkable  one.

I much prefer the levelled second version compositionally (I detest sloping photos)but the first version colourwise. The colour should really match your impression of colour when you sa the image though. Does it?

Actually, the first one appears too reddish (as Patricia agrees). I think this is as close as I could get to my memory.

BTW I admire you guys for finding a horizon here ;)

In that case the colour of the second is probably the better interpretation if that's what you are aiming for.

Water always finds its own level😉. The visual clues of defing how it appears to be level are tricky.
