That's wonderful! Do you have to use an external viewfinder for that lens? With my Elmarit 28 I think I think most of the range finder window is in use?

Thanks. To frame 21mm and 28mm lenses I use Leica external 21mm viewfinder, latest type has two sets of frame lines, outer is for native 21mm and inner is for cropped M8 which makes it useful to frame 28mm lens - 21 x 1.33 = 28.

Thanks for your reply mmradman! I wouldn't mind a wide(er) lens in the future.

Few years ago I had Nikon 14-24mm, it was wonderful optics but large, also AF was somewhat unnecessary, never regretted selling it to help fund my first Leica digital camera - M9. When you say wider lens I assume you mean Leica prime, I would be over the moon with let’s say new Super Elmira wider than 18mm, let’s be optimistic and say 14mm. We already have Tri-Elmar 16-18-21 and three wide Voightlanders, also Zeiss 15mm. Leica would have to produce something new and unique, equally good on colour and monochrome camera.

Thanks for your reply mmradman! I've certainly seen many very good photos taken with Zeiss lenses so I wouldn't rule that out. I feel I have the Leica lenses covered with what I initially looked for; excellent optics, and a combination of relatively smal size and performance. But I'm curious about the Zeiss and their alternatives.
