Acropolis hill 2nd version (with Piraeus harbour in the background).

Were all of your great Acropolis shots taken from the Agora?  I'm trying to decide on what lens(s) to take when I go to Athens in March. Thanks

Well, the Acropolis pictures were taken from the Lykabettós hill, using 85 and 130 mm. It was a cloudy day, so I waited until a gap in the cloud illuminated the Acropolis. The perspective of long distances works well with this classic geometrical style, to my taste, so bringing a longer focal lenght might not hurt.

Thanks, I found it on Google Earth. Yes I will now bring a long lens to try to replicate your work.Thanks again.
