A year ago today, Dodger Stadium.  Fireworks look great in B&W, I think so anyway.

Thorsten, congratulations to the Monochrom. What happened with your M8? I cannot see much changes in your pics. So, the M8 is still a really great camera.

hi holger,

the biggest benefit from my upgrade to the mono is

i´m still able to realize the same look as i did with my m8 ( and X1) ;) ....cause this i the look i prefer.

of course,

the resolution, the high iso-performance and  especcially  the sharpness of the mono is just amazing, just perfect in my eyes.

but i´m with you

my m8 is still a great cam, and would stay with me, of course  ;)

I see a significant difference in sharpness in the MM images. I like it; but I must say, there will still be need for Lambda M8 photos. Are you still shooting all photos at base ISO?

I have sent my new/old MM back for examination and possible adjustment of rangefinder. Even with new 35 2.5 Summarit, everything was soft. I am wondering if the increase in sensor resolution is bringing out stability problems, i.e. bad handheld technique, that was not made evident by M8. Good thing I kept the M8.

hey wayne,

no, with the mono i shot with the "real" iso.

works perfect for me ;-)

my mono got a new sensor ( new generation :) ) in january, so everything is fixed and adjusted.

even my old  stuff, (canon 50/1.4 ltm, summicron 35 v4, elmarit 28 e 49) works perfect

i dont´s realize any stability problems in comparison the m8.

for me, your problem sounds like  an adjustment problem :(

how ever, i hope leica solve it soon.
