Thank you for the kind words, Ray, but you give me far too much credit. In truth I was just fortunate enough to be in roughly the right place at roughly the right time. Apart from rethinking my 'consideration' of how I wanted the horizon to appear - which with this frame I got 'wrong' but which, I admit, fortuitously allowed me to crop some stuff at the extreme RHS which I didn't like - the picture as posted is almost 100% SOOC.

I know it is breaking the most Fundamental Rule* but just FWIW here is a screenshot of the DNG straight out of the camera;

There really wasn't much tweaking to be done (IMO). If memory serves I brought up the highlights 5% and that was it.

And some folks complain about Leica M TTL metering system. Pfffttt!....

I was under the impression that Leica was no longer willing to replace the MM1 sensors. People I know have sent their cameras in and been told all they could do is trade it in for a good discount on a new camera.
