Nice combination. Did the Nikon guys ever expect that the lens would end up on a  B&W digital camera with this result 😄. HC meant high color if I remember well

Here's what climate change looks like. Normally at this time of the winter the lake would have about 12 to 15 inches of ice and be covered by several inches of snow. I've not seen it like this in the 40 years I've lived here.

Just curious, Colin, how high was your ISO?

Just checked - it was 1600 ISO. I think that's my favourite ISO setting on the MM1. The shot is a crop of just over half the image area. I had a friend sitting across from me. I shot that over her shoulder, and cropped her out.

I generally don't like cropping, mostly because it alters the look of the focal length, and the image quality dips. But I still marvel at how far into an M Monochrom mk1 shot you can crop, and still get good quality.

I can only imagine what the upcoming M10 Mono will be capable of.

Yes, I'm a little afraid to think about that. It's probably going to be in the $9000 USD price range.

Yes, it'll definitely cost considerably more than an M10. And a lot of us are going to want one!

I actually think it will be $8,800-$9500. I could be wrong of course but that is what I am hearing.
