50mm

9301551589_8f029080cc_b.jpg

It appears to me (though very VERY slightly,) the trunk of the tree on the very bottom left can be seen easier on the Flickr site when compared to the Leica site. It might have everything to do with Flickr's black boarder making it easier to see in the dark areas. But still, I created a copy from the both sites and viewed them in Window's Picture and Fax Viewer. In Window's Picture and Fax Viewer, it was just as hard to see the base of the trunk as of viewing it from Leica's site. So it seems something is going on with the Flickr site.

(More detail) when viewing the image from Flickr, the dirt surrounding the most right bottom part of the (curved) tree trunk appears to be somewhat lighter making it a bit easier to see the trunk.

I even took a close look at the right of the trunk where it meets up to the right edge of the image, the image seems to be lighter around that very edge. Not so with the version on the Leica site. And even not so when I view both versions from Window's Picture and Fax Viewer.

The effects are the same when using different web browsers.

I have to conclude Flickr's site must have some kind of effect (very very slightly) with the lower level black level, being ever so slightly elevated. Either that or every other viewer is burying it's blacks (just very slightly.)
