Advertisement Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 Hi misha, Take a look here Third Party 1.25x Viewfinder Magnifier. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stunsworth Posted October 16, 2007 Share #2 Posted October 16, 2007 I recently bought one from eBay seller etefore. Excellent item and really helps with focussing the Noctilux. High quality finish and it accepts a correction filter - the seller sells those too, but I already had a Leica one.

Iron Flatline Posted October 16, 2007 Share #4 Posted October 16, 2007 I saw that the Leica one was $250+ and that the HKPhoto ones were $35... so I bought the HKPhoto one. I wear glasses, and before I knew it I had scratched up a really good of $500+ pair of glasses. Lesson learned: If you wear glasses, make sure you buy a good Magnifier with a rubber ring to give some contact protection.
fotografr Posted October 16, 2007 Share #5 Posted October 16, 2007 I saw that the Leica one was $250+ and that the HKPhoto ones were $35... so I bought the HKPhoto one. I wear glasses, and before I knew it I had scratched up a really good of $500+ pair of glasses. Lesson learned: If you wear glasses, make sure you buy a good Magnifier with a rubber ring to give some contact protection. I got one from HKSupply for somewhere around $100. Like Flatline's, mine doesn't have a rubber ring, but I don't wear glasses so it didn't matter to me. It does work very well.
stunsworth Posted October 16, 2007 Share #6 Posted October 16, 2007 I've just checked, the one I bought was £30 including p&p - that's around $60. 1.25x Viewfinder Magnifier for Leica M6/M7/MP/M8 Black - eBay Camera Parts Accessories, Film Camera Accessories, Photography (end time 24-Sep-07 18:11:42 BST) Worth every penny IMHO. malcolm.mcintyre Posted October 17, 2007 Share #8 Posted October 17, 2007 Delighted with my 30 quid one from Hong Kong. Can see no point in paying/waiting for a Leica one.
delander † Posted October 17, 2007 Share #9 Posted October 17, 2007 I got the Leica one, I am sure its better, its a Galilean telescope, Jeff
archi4 Posted October 17, 2007 Share #10 Posted October 17, 2007 I have the Leica 1.25 with correction lens +0,5, but purchased the 1.15 from megaperls. 1.15 suits me better on the M8 because it shows me just a little more around the frame lines. Moreover, the megaperls magnifier has a built-in diopter correction. Very satisfied and it is much cheaper. maurice
