When in Palm Springs last month, I met a delightful New Yorker who I now consider a friend - We'll be getting together when he returns to New York.  He had been shooting digital Leicas for some time, but after an over two-year search he found the nicest M3 I've ever seen and having taken a couple of shots with it I can tell you it feels as good as it looks.

My friend asks these questions:

If I want a very small flash, to just add a drop of light, perhaps 1 stop less than the natural - do you have a suggestion?

And, what adapter do I need to fit the m3 sync socket, and does it sync with electronic?

First, he'll need an adapter for the Leica M sync outlet to a PC cord.  Once he has that, any small pc-corded flash similar to a Vivitar auto 200 series will work to accomplish his goal.

Then add a very nice Sunpak 121c flash that has a sync cord built in.
