My Reporter under the studio lights almost looking like a SL2 Silver model. It's a lovely green colour and seems to change colour under different lighting conditions. Photo by Roger Coyne with SL2 and APO 90 SL

I am pretty sure it’s a Cooph strap sold by Leica. I have a few rope straps and one which came in a Leica box with soft black bag inside. It’s a few years ago, I always ask Santa for a camera strap because they were priced within the limit of our Secret Santa. Unfortunately that is not the case now. The current price is plus 50% from two years ago. For the SL cameras I get the strap with a loop that threads through the lugs and buckles down depending how you wear them. The loop ends of the strap do not damage the lugs as opposed to attaching by split ring. Maybe the wear and tear isn’t an issue these days but I can remember seeing pictures of M9’s with eroded strap lugs. Usually I will buy my rope straps from a Leica boutique or even online from the Leica Australia site. They are always changing the kinds of straps available but Cooph for Leica are good.
