Advertisement Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 Hi atufte, Take a look here New M8 Camera Leather. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Hans Roggen Posted October 11, 2007 Share #2 Posted October 11, 2007 I'd love to see a picture of a black M8 with black lizzard skin... Hans
Daniel Ortego Posted October 11, 2007 Share #3 Posted October 11, 2007 I'd love to see a picture of a black M8 with black lizzard skin... Hans The link above shows the black lizard being applied. I'm considering the same skin. Regards,
carstenw Posted October 12, 2007 Share #4 Posted October 12, 2007 It shows the black lizard skin being applied to an M6 though, as well as a completed M5. I wonder if they will offer all coverings for the M8, or just a subset.
marknorton Posted October 12, 2007 Share #5 Posted October 12, 2007 I'm waiting (though we have a PITA series of postal strikes here in the UK at the moment) for some M8 coverings from cameraleather; I think Morgan is keen to get some experience of users doing it for themselves before general availability. Mark, Do the coverings also include the handle (if fitted)? I will be very interested to see your results, as I fancy the verdigris kid or sequoia green embossed for my chrome M8 after it comes back from its trip to Solms later this year. BTW I chatted up my kindly local postman yesterday and he actually went into the sorting office and found the parcel with my sensor cleaning wands, which I need for South Africa trip leaving Sunday. I hope he enjoys his bottle of wine - he deserves it. Wilson
marknorton Posted October 12, 2007 Share #7 Posted October 12, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Wilson, yes, I've always stressed how much the grip is used and the need to cover it as well. I haven't removed the old one from mine until I have the leather in my hand. Looking at the samples, chrome cameras work better than black ones with colours other than black. I saw a black MP with bright red leather at Photokina last year and it looked (IMHO) horrendous.
fotografr Posted October 12, 2007 Share #8 Posted October 12, 2007 That photo of the chrome M8 with the brown covering makes me wish I hadn't gone for a black M8. Very classy.
