Almizilero Posted December 9, 2022 Share #1 Posted December 9, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Finally a new portrait shoot, which I also used for a lens test. Actually never worked with a 50mm, so time for a try! I usually worked with a 85/90 lens, later added a 35. I kinda like the slighty distorted look of the 50mm compared to the 90mm. The pictures seem to have a bit more depth and “pop“. Or is that just me seeing things because I got a new toy? What do you think? Welcome, dear visitor! hanskb Posted December 9, 2022 Share #2 Posted December 9, 2022 Yes I agree, especially the first picture. And I see a better focus on the (pretty) face
tom0511 Posted December 11, 2022 Share #3 Posted December 11, 2022 Personally I like the 50mm for images from this distance. A little more dynamic and less compressed.

Almizilero Posted December 14, 2022 Author Share #5 Posted December 14, 2022 Thanks guys! I've been playing around a little more with the 50 and like it a lot. No idea how I never used a nifty fifty. Every focal length has it's time, I guess. Sometimes I prefer the better compression of the 90, but in most cases, the 50 looks just more interesting. If only I#d win the lottery, but one lens has to go
