Hello. I've just received this lens and have tried it out this morning. Images are very good for the (£64) price but I am concerned about the mount. The lens is quite hard to take on and off the camera. Of course, some of that is due to it's size but it is very stiff when I turn it to engage or disengage it from from the camera body. I also think I now see some slight scratching on the mount flange on the camera body but am not sure. Has anyone on this forum experienced this problem with this or other of the TTArtisan range of lenses?

Any comments welcome🙂

Can come from either the camera or the lens. My M3 DS used to be like that in the past but it was stiff at mounting and unmounting all my lenses on it. I would try other lenses to be sure but in the meantime i would refrain from using this lens as a precaution.

No such problem here; sorry yours is out of tolerance.

I bought a 35mm f1.4 TTArtisan, the mount was very loose, the lens literarly shook on the mount. I contacted TTArtisan and in 2 weeks I had 2 mounts and the proper screw driver in the mail. I replaced the mount and it was fine, I did wonder if the second mount would have been tight. I think TTArtisan does have issues with the mounts on their cheap lens line. The lens was not bad just no comparison to my 35 Zeiss f2.8 or 35 preasph Summilux. Since it cost $83 it is not resellable.

The Len’s is a great size and build is very good. The focus is firm, image quality reminds me of my old Summicron 35. Fits in my pocket, and to be quite Frank, it’s the best £65 I’ve spent in a long time, it has its flaws but I don’t really mind, the performance is good enough for me and I have really enjoyed making a new friend.

This little lens certainly looks interesting. I have a recently acquired M8 and was wondering how an APSC lens like this would work via an L to M adaptor bearing in mind the crop factor of the M8…

That won’t work at all as L can only be adapted to M lenses and not vice versa.
