Hi everybody,
I came into possession of a perfect, but little used Leica M6 Panda.

The slow shutter speeds work perfectly but the bulb and the times from 1/60 to 1/1000 are all the same (I think shots like 1/125).

Definitely needs an overhaul. But do you think it's just a matter of adjusting the tension of the shutter curtains?

Thanks, Marco

Leica mechanic needs to be used.

So if it's tittle used, the lub or gears can be dry/stuck.

For me just a Clean-Lub-A and not only "tension" by good technician is a must if you want to use this M6.

Considering the age…. You should always count on a CLA…. Most likely hasn’t been done and has been sitting for years as well I bet. Think of it as a person. If you take a long flight overseas, don’t you need some adjustment after? Cameras need cla’s too

Exercise it a bit before sending it off. Use all the shutter speeds over and over again while you are sat watching TV. Even try a film through it to check for focus etc. The point is if exercising the camera doesn't work you also want to alert the techie chap to anything else that's not covered by a standard CLA.
