Black Finish on the new M6

Leica.com says black finish. What does that mean? Black paint, Black chrome or some new technique?

New technique of black paint (that looks similar to black chrome). Same as the M11 but texture feels slightly different and improved.

I think it was with the M9 that Leica first started using a powder coated paint technique and it's much tougher than normal sprayed enamel or acrylic paints.

This is what caught out the people who rushed out and bought some sandpaper when the M9 was released, within a few weeks they started to post photographs of supposedly naturally brassed M9's while everybody else was saying 'nope, not mine'.
