I remember being a young man and smoking. Thanks to the darkroom, I stopped this habit. Instead of inhaling smoke from the cigarettes I inhaled fumes from the chemicals. Not sure it was  better !

Same exact sequence with me, except that I went for a period of about five years when I was smoking while working in my darkroom. Fortunately I had a good exhaust fan.

That's makes me smile. And to add to darkroom stories: I often said:there are 2 places where you can be alone.1-in the toilet 2-in the darkroom.
