mgcd Posted August 17, 2006 Share #21 Posted August 17, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) I seriously doubt whether you would sling an R8 or R9 with DMR and a lens over your shoulder whenever you go out. That is indeed what I do... Unless I'm on a date but even then... Cheers,

Guest guy_mancuso Posted August 17, 2006 Share #24 Posted August 17, 2006 Certainly see where your coming from , i have 2 DMR's. LOL Oh and the 280 f4 will just keep you there also. LOL Seriously i love the DMR very much and i am in heavy mental debate about adding the M8, if I did I would have to sell one DMR/R9 to do it and that is a hard decision to make. Backup , Backup and backup. i really have to see if the M8 can truly back up the DMR. I would love to just add it to the system instead but having just purchased a MacPro Book and a MacPro Desktop with a 30 inch monitor, i am now being crowned by my wife as one sick SOB. I think she is right is the scary part. :D
stuny Posted August 19, 2006 Share #25 Posted August 19, 2006 Guy - By SOB, your wife is using the medical abbreviation placed on hosptial charts - Shortness Of Breath. Be happy that she is concerned about your health. I suspect that it is actually an encouragement to get the M8 but keep both DMRs. That way sometimes you'll have less SOB by leaving one DMR kit at home. Your wife is a treasure, and I hope you realize that.

bono0272 Posted August 19, 2006 Share #27 Posted August 19, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am doing the other way round. I have R8 and DMR and 6 R series lenses. But I just purchased a second hand M6 and a Summilux-M 35mm last week. I love my R8, but now I have to share my love to the M6 as well. The R and M will give you different experience of photography. Just keep both of them.
