Keith (M) Posted November 4, 2022 Share #1 Posted November 4, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Poole's Twin Sails Bridge (a double leaved bascule bridge). I knew where the bridge is located but had not previously seen it. Stumbled across a handy viewing point yesterday, was standing there pondering whether or not to change lens (50mm on the camera) when it started to open! So 50mm it was. pedaes Posted November 4, 2022 Share #2 Posted November 4, 2022 Although imaginative in design, this bridge has been somewhat unreliable in function, to the irritation of us locals.

Indeed, I was just reading about its troubled history this afternoon - seems to have been deemed something of a white elephant locally.

Beautiful day, very nice set, perfect lens. All bridges have their ups and downs, this one is at least beautiful, they'll just have to suck it up.

Must have been a lot of distant birds about After all, an M11 that is just a month old cannot possibly have spots on the sensor - sacre bleu; ganz unmöglich!
