JimmyJ Posted November 4, 2022 Share #1  Posted November 4, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi guys, Any help would be appreciated. I have a Leica M3 which had a 50mm Rigid Summicron attached at all times until I recently purchased a Summaron 35mm f/2.8. Overall I like the way both lenses renders images overall but on a handful of photos there is this distracting light flares coming from the corners? I’ve had light leaks on previous cameras and they are normally hard rough whitish spots, this doesn’t appear to be that? It is almost like reverse vignetting (reverse, because it is white, not black) also important to mention the lenses were not at their largest apertures when the sample photos were shot, and a lens hood was used on the outdoor shots. If anyone knows what this could be or how to help that would be great! regards James  Welcome, dear visitor! a.noctilux Posted November 4, 2022 Share #2  Posted November 4, 2022 Welcome James. I can see only black images. Can you see them ?  Maybe have a look at this recommendation for ...how to upload images
JimmyJ Posted November 4, 2022 Author Share #3  Posted November 4, 2022 Damn it, just noticed! I’ve just tried again and it’s doing the same thing? I have checked all the export settings and they match the required settings of the site, so I wonder if it is because I am uploading it from a iPhone? Either way, the best way to describe the images is like it has white vignetting in the corners…
Huss Posted November 4, 2022 Share #4 Â Posted November 4, 2022 Sounds like a film scanning issue.
nitroplait Posted November 5, 2022 Share #5  Posted November 5, 2022 Without being able to see them, it is shot in the dark. As Huss notes, vignetting of the scanning lens will be reversed when scanning negatives. How did you scan the images? When uploading from the iPhone, make sure you don't upload HEIC files, I don't think the forum agrees with that.
