I have 3, but most of the time 2 is enough.

Two things to remember:

(1) a faster SD card greatly improves battery life as there is less buffering when writing to it

(2) shooting a lot of 4K video flogs the battery

I didn’t know that a faster SD card improves battery life. Thanks for posting this.

Great idea. Will look into it. Still do not think that one need 2 batteries when just taking stills as the TO does. When money is no issue at all then you can buy whatever you like. My statement was based on 2 assumptions:

- The TO is the average hobby photographer taking some dozens photographs a day.

- The TO takes only stills

- After spending a lot of money for your Q2 you want to save some money.

- The TO wants to go light and does not want to have this an that and the other in his/her pockets

- the question is then: Do I NEED more than one battery? I own a Q2 and my answer is: NO. Anyway not to start with.

So I hope that I made myself fully clear and its not too long.

And finally: The TO decided already: He bought a second battery. So my statements are meant for those other readers who have the same question.
