On the street in Lilongwe, Malawi. Gule Wamgule is a secret society of the Chewa people, recognized as Unesco Cultural Heritage. The formal dancers wear elaborate carved masks and costumes and represent hundreds of characters and are seen at special occasions. However there is a street version where the locals perform the tradtion which can be found in the villages and townships. The performers roam the street in groups and will beg (they don't speak) for money (something like 0,50$) to spend on beer and marijuana. The locals have a love-fear-hate relationship with them.
