biglouis Posted September 23, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted September 23, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Owing to the demolition of an office building on New Change a view of St Paul's from Cheapside has been revealed which is quite striking. Â My pictures do not do justice. Instead of peeping through other buildings you have an uninterrupted view of the east side of Wren's masterpiece. Â Let's hope they fill in the hole with something that does justice to the view they will destroy. elansprint72 Posted September 23, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted September 23, 2007 Big, Make the most of it. There is a Church in the centre of Manchester known as "The Hidden Gem", then they knocked down a building and for about six months it was not hidden; now it is again. ejd Posted September 23, 2007 Share #4  Posted September 23, 2007 Sir Christopher Wren Said: I am going out to dine with some men. If anybody calls, Tell them I'm designing St Paul's  (I believe this is due to Edmund Clerihew Bentley)  Splendid shots. The cathedral looks magnificent.
