stuny Posted September 22, 2007 Share #2 Posted September 22, 2007 Carolina - #1 is quite a departure for you, only using the angle of the shot and the distortion of a wideangle lens up close to build your image, giving it power. Excellent.
hsw Posted September 24, 2007 Share #3 Posted September 24, 2007 Gorgeous series of three. Sometimes things look best straight out of the camera . #1 is my favorite for it's Lilliputian perspective. Cheers, Henry
Guest carolina Posted September 24, 2007 Share #4 Posted September 24, 2007 Henry and Stuart thank you for taking the time to comment. Henry I shoot with slide film and I try get the picture "right" -in that I try to get the composition, exposure, point of focus and timing and depth of field all to work on that single piece of film. But more often than not ( and this perhaps speaks to my limitations as a photographer) what I see in my minds' eye fails to get captured on film or is impossible to get captured on film- and then I play with photoshop and go to places I can only imagine. hsw Posted September 24, 2007 Share #5 Posted September 24, 2007 I will certainly agree with that. Many times I've had an image that is just not on-spot and creative Photoshopping gives me something to work with. Keep posting your wonderful images.
