Hi all,

I have a question,

How can I disable the touch screen and the Joystick because I always move without wanting it the focus rectangle? (with a finger, a nose, a move of my thumb to reach the thumb up etc..)

Every time I move my eye to the viewfinder I realise the  focus point is everywhere but in the center!

Thanks for your help!!

In the menus look for focusing and under that sub menu at the bottom you can turn touch focusing off.

Hi jdlaing,

Thank you very much!!

Now only the joystick is a danger.. but I should manage that!

After 50+ years of M  (M4,4-2,4P 6,6TTL,8 and finally 9) my eyes allow me less and the auto focus is helpful.

The CL feels and almost looks like my first Leica a IIIG !

Best regards,

Even with touch focus disabled, wondering focus point is well documented and commented on (can be problematic to some) amongst CL users, as much as we might love the camera.  So, a tip if you haven't yet come across it is to double tap the screen as you lift the camera to shoot, this returns focus point to the middle, a helpful place to start😊.  Welcome and I hope you enjoy your CL.

Best regards,

I wouldn’t want to disable the directional pad. I don’t ever hit mine but accident. I’m in the habit of looking where the little cross is when I look in the viewfinder.
