Alberti Posted September 25, 2007 Share #41 Posted September 25, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) --I'm also getting occasional black-and-red zebra stripes and my scroll wheel acts in reverse about 30% of the time when reviewing shots (-- Interesting, I was up in the Alps (often above 2500m) the last month and had occasional black and white stripes. Never had it elsewhere. Must be the other environment. LOL. albert

gdi Posted September 25, 2007 Share #43 Posted September 25, 2007 Best car I ever had... Drove Volvo for 20 years before that. Not even close. Ford seems to have done wonders for them !
luigi bertolotti Posted September 25, 2007 Share #44 Posted September 25, 2007 Best car I ever had... Drove Volvo for 20 years before that. Not even close. Me too drove Volvo for not 20 but 16 years... not even close to my new Alfa 159 Wagon (but was really tempted by Jaguar SW like yours... ... Italians for Italians product finally drove me...) photojimj Posted September 25, 2007 Share #45 Posted September 25, 2007 Am on my third M8. Models one and two had various problems including SDS, lines across LCD, and erratic dial when scrolling etc. My third M8 is exactly the same straight out of the box!!! I am so p****d off. But what really gets me is Leica's appalling lack of customer care. When i reported these issues i was advised that i was in a minority as no or hardly any reports of faults/defects etc had been reported, and did i get a "i'm sorry to hear"..... No, i think i'll offload my equipment and use the money to buy something that works. After all a camera that provides an image - even if it is not as good as leica glass etc - is still a camera that does. Jim:mad:
chris_tribble Posted September 25, 2007 Share #46 Posted September 25, 2007 Really sorry others have had problems, but I though I should report I have 2 M8s, and (touching wood - please camera gods don't hear this) have never had a problem, and get such good images. My Canon DSLRs and glass are languishing unused. Doing a theatre shoot in Poland next week so will dig out the long stuff and the 5D + 1D2, but all the on-set stuff will be M8. On to Latvia for documentary - it'll all be M8.
J_Brittenson Posted September 25, 2007 Share #47 Posted September 25, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I stopped the engine, restarted, and they went back to the original arrangement. Presumably the in-car computer hadn't booted properly the first time and was sending the wrong signals through the multiplexed wiring. At least it didn't prompt you for drivers.
