When I put an sd card in a lot one I get an error (see attached image), which locks the camera until I remove the card from slot 1. Card works fine in slot 2. matt736 Posted September 10, 2022 Share #3 Posted September 10, 2022 Hi Jamie I am pretty sure when I recently looked at the used SL2 stock on the MPB website , it mentioned a camera in their stock list with one faulty SD card slot and one working. Matthew, just looking at the invoice and no mention of it and don’t recall it mentioned in the original item description either. No doubt I’ll speak to mpb on Monday for clarity. Jean-Michel Posted September 10, 2022 Share #5 Posted September 10, 2022 I have no idea of how well or not a site such as MPB, compared to eBay, is easy to deal with. But it is always caveat emptor. I have always purchased my equipment, Leica, or other, from reputable local authorized dealers in relation stores. As such, I have never had an issue with defective equipment or service. Yes, I probably pay a bit more than I could find or some online place, but the savings, even if actually real, are simply not worth it. My Leica dealer usually gets the used equipment checked and CLA's by Leica before selling it, and it all come with a real warranty. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
darylgo Posted September 10, 2022 Share #6 Posted September 10, 2022 Leica cameras are finicky with SD cards, try a different card in slot 1. I believe Leica has information on recommended cards. When in doubt use Sandisk. I get problem equipment from the best dealers and normally they will honor warranties. One member of the forum assumes lenses will need a CLA when purchased used. My SL2s s having this same problem. The problem seems to be the card slot on the camera, not the card itself (which works fine in slot 2). Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
