Kolari Vision UV IR Cut Filter

Just recently got an M8 but haven't gotten a UV/IR filter yet. Was considering Kolari Vision over B+W. Does anyone have any experience/opinions on this brand of filter?

their quality is very good, i have several IR converted cameras from them, not tried their filters but supposed to be very good.

 

i thought the M8 came with a filter from Leica?

The M8 has a filter only if the original owner requested one. Then if the camera has gone through a dealer the filter could be separated. Weren't the Leica filters were made by B+W or was it Heliopan. I am using a B+W IR cut filters and find them excellent.

Three different filters were available if requested.

IR Cut filters is, I think, what you are looking for.

I notice the Leica uv ir filters have ghosting vs b+w. Personally If b+w made silver ring uv ir filters, I wouldn’t hesitate to swap over. Unfortunately they don’t and I already spent $100 on Leica uv ir filters. 
 

can’t really comment on kolari vision filters though because I’ve never compared them.

No, they're made by Marumi, which is a Japanese company and the quality of those I have is excellent.
