More lotus pictures from stay-home days...

Doesn't look like a lot of progress but the bud had gone from 5ck a few days ago to just over 8cm yesterday.  Teaching me patience.

First close-up lotus with a Vario Elmar 18-56.  The rest with the Sigma 70 macro.  No tripod for the drop in the leaf and tripod raised on a low table for the last.

Not just a lotus, we have a series of hibiscuses while we wait for his majesty to bloom...

The first with the Vario-Elmar 18-56, the second with the Sigma 70 macro

Some context.  The last with a Vario-Elmar 18-56.

If anyone has wondered about the rope rigging that occasionally shows up in these pictures, they are restraining a mango tree just behind.  It has toppled sideways onto the roof during a storm a year ago!  It often yields really good mangoes of an unidentified species a couple of times a year.  Sometimes we're not in Singapore and now that we are locked down here it doesn't seem to be in the mood 😞
