scrollt Posted August 8, 2022 Share #2 Posted August 8, 2022 Now that I got pulled into the astro rabbit hole I really want a fast ultrawide lens. Looks like the 20mm will be just that. Very nice.
scrollt Posted August 9, 2022 Share #3 Posted August 9, 2022 (edited) If you are interested in Astro photography: I like this channel a lot and he compared the two new lenses with some competitors. As far as I can tell the 20mm's main flaw is it's vignette wide open. But I think that's manageable with proper lens profiles in Lightroom (or other tools) and by stopping down a bit. I think that will be the ultrawide I get at some point. Too bad Panasonic didn't release the 18mm yet 😕 Edited August 9, 2022 by scrollt
helged Posted August 9, 2022 Share #4 Posted August 9, 2022 Another favourable review for the Sigma 20mm f1.4 DG DN: https://dustinabbott.net/2022/08/sigma-20mm-f1-4-dn-art-review/
helged Posted August 12, 2022 Share #5 Posted August 12, 2022 (edited) And a slightly less favorable Review, ; the softness at f1.4, even at centre, may indicate a 'bad' copy, hard to know...: https://www.imaging-resource.com/lenses/sigma/20mm-f1.4-dg-dn-art/review/ Edited August 12, 2022 by helged

Pierre68 Posted October 17, 2022 Share #7 Posted October 17, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) hello everyone I wanted th check off my Sigma 20mm had the latest software but the Sigma USB dock does not seem to recognize the new lens. Is this normal? Is the lens too recent to be recognized? The USB dock has the latest firmware. Thanks Pierre
