Paul0303 Posted July 30, 2022 Share #1 Posted July 30, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Regarding tethering of Leica S 007 with C1. I have no problem in tethering the camera but as is usual I do need to eject the cards but unlike using my SL I also need to close the memory cover. Whilst this is not a huge impost in an ideal world I would prefer to just plug camera in and not mess around with card or covers. Are there any work rounds available? Paul0303 Posted July 30, 2022 Author Share #2 Posted July 30, 2022 wow, shouldn't have posted that question as I was just able to tether with card in. So I'll change my questions to why does it work sometimes?
davidmknoble Posted July 30, 2022 Share #3 Posted July 30, 2022 @Paul0303, I have not tried the tethering, but used the remote shutter release. It is possible that 1) the cord was not in all the way, although I’m guessing you tugged on it and it probably felt seated pretty well, or 2) the cord itself has a short or break that sometimes works. Don’t know how easy it is to test the cord with the odd ends, but if you try it 5 or 6 times I would think you might be able to tell if it was a fluke or only works sometimes. Just some thoughts. Paul0303 Posted July 30, 2022 Author Share #4 Posted July 30, 2022 The cable was in fine on both occasions but in the first case C1 gave me an error which I could correct by removing the cards. The second time it connected without needing to remove cards. My suspicion is that I followed different order for setup e.g. Connect usb cable, switch camera on then start C1, on the 2 occasions
